'Keith Partridge and Brian Hall have created a moving visual memoir on one of Britain’s most celebrated mountaineers, Sir Chris Bonington. Their film expertly tackles the sensitive subjects of loss, love and success with a discerning eye that can only come from filmmakers with a lifetime of experience in the mountain film industry. One of this year’s most highly anticipated films, Bonington: Mountaineer is not to be missed and we’re delighted to be hosting the world premiere at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival.' - Joanna Croston, Programming Director, Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival
Epic and emotional in equal measure, this is a truly thought-provoking 80 minutes. The word 'authentic's all to often used and abused. But this is the real thing. Made by passionate climbers about one of their own. An extraordinary film. An extraordinary life. An extraordinary human being. Chris Bonington...we salute you ! Mark Evans - Television Presenter and Producer
My word what an amazing film you have made. Chris Bonington is one of my childhood heroes and your portrait of him has hit new heights. He has made amazing achievements, inspiring so many other people like me. However, in your film you manage to show not only the great things that he has done, but also the raw emotion of a man who I have yet to meet. I was moved to tears several times during the viewing. Your videography is absolutely stunning, amazing and awe-inspiring. I'm looking forward to your next piece of work. I drove home on a 'high' dreaming about my next adventure. I'm blown away. Thank you so much. Mike Faughey-Scrags - Audience member at Rheged screening.
